Clinic Details
Airdrie Speech Path conveniently provides services within patients' own homes in and around Airdrie. When therapy is provided in the home, speech and language skills learned in therapy transfer more readily to the child's natural environment. Students already feel at ease as they are in the comfortable, supportive atmosphere of their home.
Children of all ages and abilities work with Airdrie Speech Path. Speech-language therapy provided by Airdrie Speech Path has improved countless students' speech and language skills which improves their social interactions, school experience, career prospects and overall quality of life.

Amy Harker, ARCT, BA, MA, R.SLP
Amy Harker is a certified Speech-Language Pathologist and owner of Airdrie Speech Path. She lives in Airdrie, Alberta with her husband and four children. She received her undergraduate degree in psychology in 2005 and her graduate degree in speech and language pathology in 2008. She is a registered member of the Alberta College of Speech-Language Pathologists and Audiologists (ACSLPA).
An experienced therapist and mentor, Amy has served hundreds of individuals with a variety of communication impairments, including: speech sound disorders, expressive and receptive language disorders, stuttering, childhood apraxia of speech (CAS), processing disorders, early intervention, down syndrome, selective mutism and autism. She has worked as a clinician at a well-renowned Intensive Stuttering Clinic and been heavily involved in research regarding the acoustics of speech. She enjoys delivering classroom presentations on expanding language and speaking skills in the classroom. Throughout her career, she has worked in schools and privately in Central Alberta, Calgary, Cochrane and Airdrie, instilling confidence, speech skills and enhanced language ability in the individuals with whom she works.
In addition to her work as a speech-language pathologist, Amy applies her talents to other fields as well. She is an accomplished Speech Arts and Drama teacher and adjudicator whose students have received provincial recognition and awards. She has taught a home-based preschool and piano lessons, and accompanied and led choirs. Her wide range of life experience has contributed to her innovative and energetic approach to speech-language therapy.
